Grown or Perverted?

The Age of Sex

I was at a local bar here in our small city where people gather for drinks and fellowship. It was a Wednesday night and I was off work. There were several guys there, one including a man I was very familiar with formally but not personally. He danced with me as I was a bit excited too because he was always handsome and smooth. Another guy tried to touch me, and I slapped his hand away. I’m not sure why guys think that because a girl is being slutty with one man in a public space in front of others, she’s available. Obviously, I’ve made my choice. As his ego built increasingly, he walked me to my car for what I assumed was safety. He hugged me and asked me for my number. Of course, I gave it to him. He was tall, with a beard, his own car, and had the voice of a God. I refused to let him get away. I didn’t expect a text that night as I laid in my twin bed at my mother’s house. Until I got facetime from an unknown number. I knew it was him. I answered, and we talked for a bit. He asked me to come over. I said “Well, it’s late.” From my memory it was well after 11pm, and to my knowledge nothing good happens that late. Plus, I was already winding down. He kept making it sound so inviting and safe, so I asked him, “What are we going to do?” He says, “We’re grown.” As if I didn’t pay my own phone bill at this point in my life. The convo died down and we didn’t speak much after that. I became interested when he wasn’t, and we did a phone tag of interest for some months. He was always drunk when he wanted to sleep with me, and I didn’t find that flattering at all, or safe. But why. Why do we use adulthood as a reason for unnecessary sex? Yea were adults, so we must use each other to masturbate? I told him we haven’t even hung out or told each other secrets. His response was the fact that we are over the age of 18. Ok? I assume that every adult he knows is having sex, and he knows about it? Sad and sickening. Not good enough for me. After gossiping about him to coworkers, I found out he may as well have come to my place. He still lived with his momma too.
